Band of the Day - Week 5

This week was a definite reminder of why I enjoy discovering new bands. One, there are so many bands to discover. Two, there are so many bands making such great music just waiting to be discovered. Go discover something.

Here’s the recap of 7 new (to us) bands we listened to last week (1/31 – 2/06).

xoxo Jaclyn

Week 5

01/31: Innerlove
I checked out the 2020 EP, Fine by Me and the split with American Beauty. Really good EP. Really good split. Favorite Track: Relax

02/01: Bicycle Inn
I checked out the 2021 album, THIS TIME AND PLACE IS ALL I’LL EVER KNOW. I really appreciated the song order. It was hard to pick a favorite track. Favorite Track: Roll Initiative into Leap Year

02/02: Hovvdy
I listened to the 2021 album, True Love. I feel like this is a perfect soundtrack for a summer night. Favorite Track: I Never Wanna Make You Sad

02/03: Arcadia Grey
I checked out the 2019 release, Konami Code. Loved it. Sounds like they probably put on a really fun live show? Favorite Track: Skrrt Cobain

02/04: Wes Hoffman
It was in fact Friday, so I checked out the new EP released January 31st, Rewrite the Story. It’s a fun little EP. Favorite Track: Something to Live For

02/05: Kule
I listened to the 2021 album, Lost In Translations. Lyrically, it feels super honest. Musically, took me back…nostalgic in a good way. Favorite Track: I’m A Burden

02/06: Cleveland Avenue
I listened to the 2021 EP The Things Better Left Unsaid and the 2019 EP True Love Is Not Just a Pizza Tattoo. Both super catchy. Favorite Track: Better Off (because I’m sucker for a good build up)
