We’ve talked about the moment before. You know, that moment where someone you know tells you they have cancer. It’s never a moment you are expecting, and never a moment you are ready for. Recently, our very own Ryley (you know, artist extraordinaire – responsible for all your favorite AWG! album covers – like F*@K Cancer) came to us because a friend was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Reaction: That deep sigh. The one that replaces words.
We started All We Got! Records to build a community of like-minded individuals who believe in the power of art and music. In the years that All We Got! has existed, we’ve built a pretty big family, and that family keeps on growing. It grows when you share your music, your art, your stories (good and bad). It grows when you sing along to a song you like. It grows when you tell your friends about a band you think they would love, or a poet they need to read. We consider all of you reading this, part of our family.
So, what can a family do when they hear news that a friend was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia? Be compassionate, provide support, extend a hand, show kindness. If you have some extra dollars to spare for a friend, donate to Robby. If you have some extra dollars to spare for a friend of a friend, or a friend of a friend of a friend, donate. HOPE.
Every little bit helps! You can donate to Robby directly by visiting his GoFundMe page.
