This week we started and ended in the UK, with stops in the States and Germany. (The pandemic has me missing traveling something awful!)
Here’s the recap of 7 new (to us) bands we listened to last week (1/17 – 1/23).
xoxo Jaclyn
01/17: Cherym
I started with the 2021 EP, Hey Tori. It was so good that naturally I had to listen to the entire discog. Catchy as fuck. Favorite Track: Listening to My Head
01/18: Why Bonnie
I listened to the 2020 EP, Voice Box. Favorite Track: No Caves
01/19: Wilmette
I started with their self-titled EP released in 2020, and then saw that they had a song called “Paul Rutt”, so naturally I had to listen to the 2019 EP, Anxious Body as well. (Judge a band by their song-titles? J/K don’t do that.) Favorite Track: Show and Tell
01/20: Better Love
I started with the 2018 release, We Were Younger and Less Put Together, and then bopped through pretty much the entire discog. Favorite Track: Ghost in the Passenger Seat
01/21: Anxious
Little Green House came out on January 21st, so naturally I started there. This was a great record. I experienced nostalgia on overload and immediately needed to go listen to Polar Bear Club. Favorite Track: Let Me
01/22: Catapults
I checked out the 2021 release, I’ll Be Honest. Favorite Track: Nothing’s Changed
01/23: Bears In Trees
I listened to the 2021 release, and everybody else smiled back. It’s fucking fantastic! Favorite Track: Cut Corners on Short Walks
