#BOTD 2022 – Week 15

If you’ve been following along…I finally missed a day. 15 weeks in, not too bad. (If you haven’t been following along…I set out to listen to at least one new band every single day. I missed Saturday. I made up for it by listening to 2 new bands on Sunday). There is a lot of cool stuff on the list this week. (I say that a lot – there are so many great bands waiting to be found). Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

Week 15
04/11: Mud Whale
I listened to the 2021 release, Everything In Moderation. Really good record. You know jangle with the right amount of grit. I’m glad I stumbled upon this band. Favorite Track: Scapegoat
04/12: Sly Withers
I listened to the 2021 release, Gardens. I picked the opener as my favorite, because I knew I was hooked after like 2 seconds. Well done. Favorite Track: Cracks
04/13: This Summer
I checked out self-titled EP from 2020. It’s got a good pulse from start to finish. Ambient emo? Favorite Track: I Wanna Go Back to Tokyo (I liked the little explosion in this one)
04/14: Amyl and The Sniffers
I checked out the 2021 album, Comfort To me. This was a super fun record. Catchy, agro, delight. I bet they put on a really fun live show. Favorite Track: Freaks To The Front
04/15: Chase Petra
New music Friday. I checked out the new EP, 4 o’clock in the afternoon. It was not 4 in the afternoon when I listened. It was first thing in the morning. I listened twice. Well done. Favorite Track: Pacific (or Nature vs. Nurture – I loved the opening on that one)
04/16: Fail
04/17 part 1: Buggin
I checked out the 2020 EP, Buggin Out then had to go watch the AudioTree session. Rips! I need to see this band live. Favorite Track: My Rules
04/17 part 2: Thursday In March
I started with the 2019 EP, How to Grow from Bitterness. There are a lot of really cool moments on this thing. Favorite Track: Actor & Thief
