Who buys variety packs (of anything)? I do. I can’t help myself. That’s what this week is. Strap in. I’m the worst music reviewer. Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

Week 22
05/30: Ghostpool
I started with the 2019 EP, NYLA. Bug is great opening track. Then, I went back in time to the 2018 EP, There Is a Hole at the Center of Everything, and then listened to the newer singles. Fun songs. Come out to Eastern NY. Let’s play a show! Favorite Track: Look at the Mess We Made
05/31: Wine Lips
I started with the 2021 full length, Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party and needed more, so I also listened to the 2019 album Stressor. Eyes is one hell of an opener. Favorite Track: Eyes
06/01: Palomino Blond
I listened to the 2021 full length, ontheinside. Definitely grab a flannel. This is full of 90s vibes. It’s got a good balance of sparkle and the opposite of sparkle. (what’s the opposite of sparkle?) Favorite Track: Lovely or Phoebe
06/02: Guest Room Status
I started with the self-titled 2021 EP and then checked out some of the new single. It’s got that like 2010-2013 vibe. (I think I got the years right). I picked the new single as my favorite. I’m excited to hear what’s next from these folks. Favorite Track: Miranda
06/03: Biitchseat
New music Friday. I started with the new album, Float. If I was to sum it up in one word, the word would be “glitter”. Sounds like a fun show. Favorite Track: What We’ll Turn Into or Leap Day
06/04: Mx Wander
I checked out the 2021 album, From Pure Fury to Pretty Well. Great album name. Great album. Made me miss the good ol OCNY folk/punk shows! Thanks for taking up space in this world. Favorite Track: I Was a Man
06/05: Charmpit
Thanks Internet for creepily knowing what I like. I stumbled upon the 2020 full length, Cause a Stir. Bops. Thanks for letting me find you. Favorite Track: Bridges Go Burn. (They are all my favorites)
