Week number 32 is a soundtrack to a poorly planned summer vacay! A tour of Europe. A quick flight to Australia. A road trip down the East Coast. Find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.
If this is your first time here, I’m the worst music reviewer.
Don’t forget to show these bands some love…follow the socials, buy the music/merch, etc.
P.S. Protect trans lives. Say gay everyday. We can’t and won’t be erased. Be a safe space for your local and not so local queers to land. We see you. We are here for you. We love you.
P.P.S. Safe abortion for all. No compromise. No Apology.
Here’s the recap of new (to us) bands we listened to last week (8/8 – 8/14).
xoxo Jaclyn
08/08: Youngest
I checked out the EP from 2021, Besides. Melodic emo / post hardcore vibes. Do y’all know Amalia Bloom? Favorite Track: Charm
08/09: No Matter
New music Tuesday? I listened to to new full length, Bad Chemistry. Late 90s, early 00s vibes. Grab half a flannel and your dancing vans. Well done. Favorite Track: Shitegeist
08/10: Kerosene Heights
New music Wednesday? I checked out the new EP, no more bad dreams. Basement show emo, part one. Catchy emo jams with a side of noodle. Favorite Track: built to chill
08/11: Amalia Bloom
New music Thursday? I listened to the new full length, Picturesque. I appreciate the contrast between vocals and instruments. Good collection of songs. Well done. Do y’all know Youngest? Favorite Track: On Canvas
08/12: Career Day
New music Friday! I listened to the new release, Where We’ve Always Been. Most of the tracks were my favorites. Sounds like a super fun show. Let’s play a show! Favorite Track: No Problem
08/13: SoSo
I listened to the new 2021 EP, I Wouldn’t Call This Success…but It’s Close Enough. Self proclaimed ‘offensively average’ pop punk. I’d go with offensively catchy pop punk. Favorite Track: The Henry Lawson Jive
08/14: off day
I listened to the 2019 EP, pee naked. Basement show emo, part 2. Favorite Track: unlovable or torn & frayed
