#BOTD 2022 – Week 20

Week 20 = variety pack. Are you the type of person that only listens to one type of music? If yes, why? I really want to know. If there was a theme for this week, it might be can you tell the difference between a Midwest band and an East Coast band? I’m the worst music reviewer. Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

Week 20
05/16: The Big Easy
I listened to the 2020 full length, A Long Year. It’s East Coast vibes for sure. I also found myself agreeing with the lyrics quite frequently. Where in NY are y’all from? Want to play a show? Favorite Track: Alone
05/17: Summerbruise
I started with the 2019 EP, Always Something and then checked out the newer singles. I can’t help but like music that sounds like this. Probably a super fun basement show. Favorite Track: (Plea to a Cat Named) Spaghetti
05/18: I Feel Fine
I listened to the 2021 full length, The Cold in Every Shelter. I knew I’d love it as soon as the vocals hit in track one. It’s emo if you’re an emo fan. Math if you’re a math fan. Favorite Track: Elemenohpea (great name)
05/19: Airstream Futures
I checked out the 2020 full length, Le feu et le sable. Gave me Tsunami Bomb vibes. Favorite Track: Cemetery Sparrow
05/20: Nectar
New music Friday. I started with the 2022 full length, No Shadow. Then, I had go back and check out the 2018 release as well. If this was a game of hide and seek, I let you stay hiding for way too long! But, I’m glad I found you. Favorite Track: TMF
05/21: Glazed
New music Saturday? I checked out the new EP, Chillogy. I knew I loved it from the opening. I also listened to the older full length. I can’t help but like music that sounds like this, part million. Favorite Track: Cherry Ice
05/22: Dog Stuff
New music Sunday? I checked out their tracks from the new split with Twin Brook (who I checked out back in Week 18), Deathmatch and the 2019 EP, Every Time We Hangout…. Sounds like the 90s. Favorite Track: Crack a Mo’
