#BOTD 2022 – Week 21

Every week, I’m reminded just how much joy it brings me to find a new band and share it with you. Thanks for continuing to release music into such a dark world. I know I’m not the only one who appreciates the light. I’m the worst music reviewer. Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

Week 21
05/23: Like Roses
I listened to everything and hoped I’d keep finding more! Looks like they got some new stuff coming. Don’t sleep on this band. Favorite Track: Graves
05/24: Tree River
New Music Tuesday? I checked out the new full length, Time Being. The opener had me needing to know what would come next. I don’t know what box this goes in other than the, “I liked it” box. Favorite Track: Journey Proud or Laughing With
05/25: Moss Tongue
I listened to the 2021 release, Heaven, You’re Almost Here. Good balance of calm and explosion. I appreciate the contrast – heavy(ish) vocals against a dreamy musical landscape. Favorite Track: So Cold or Air to Breathe
05/26: Teamonade
I started with the 2021 EP, Borderline and then checked out some of the other singles and EP. You can have it on in the background, but you will find yourself actively listening. Definitely interested in seeing where y’all go next. Favorite Track: Weighed Down or Going Thru It
05/27: Double Gainer
New music Friday. I listened to the new album, Such is Life. Grit + Pop + Punk = of course I’ll enjoy it. Favorite Track: Sleeping On the Couch
05/28: Cawston
I usually wait for at least an EP before I listen, but this track started and I knew I couldn’t turn it off. I can’t help but like music that sounds like this, part million.five. Excited to hear what comes next. Favorite Track: Borderline
05/29: I Hate It Too
I checked out the 2020 full lengthSun Machine. It had a 90s whine about it that I can’t look away from. I know a lot of you would enjoy this record. Favorite Track: Albuquerque or Hit the Roof or Sun Machine
